All Saints Community Project – Social Value Case Study

Social Value is built on long-term, meaningful relationships within the communities we serve. Our work with All Saints Community Project in Kings Heath, Birmingham, exemplifies our commitment to supporting grassroots initiative, driving inclusion and creating opportunities for us all.

BSN has worked closely with the All Saints team, offering a diverse range of support that goes far beyond financial donation. Through consistent engagement and collaboration, we have been proud to deliver tailored social value initiatives that reflect the real needs of the local community.

Two electric cookers

Two electric cookers were donated to support their food and nutrition programmes. These are now used by community groups and families for cookery classes and shared meals.

We donated bleed control kits, helping to make the centre a safer place and aligning with wider community safety efforts.

Community Gardening Project

Early spring, a team of BSN volunteers took part in a gardening day, planting over 70 trees and climbers around the centre.

This project:

  • Provides privacy and shade to vulnerable users at The Robin Centre
  • Encourages biodiversity and wildlife
  • Offers a calming, sensory space for both young people and local residents.

Employability support for young people with additional needs

We have supported the Inclusion Plus Employability Group, a cohort of young adults facing barriers to employment, including neurodiversity, and learning difficulties. This has included:

  • Delivering mock interview workshops with support from our supply chain,
  • Offering work experience opportunities
  • Hosting employer insight sessions, helping local businesses rethink their recruitment approaches.

Impact on the community

Our partnership with All Saints has had a measurable and heartfelt impact. The centre has seen an increase in young people engaging with employment services, while our gardening and donation projects have improved both the physical space and sense of belonging.

Staff and volunteers feel supported, and community confidence in the centre’s long-term role has grown.
